Spring Transitions Installation
The full installation highlights the color, depth, and shifting transparencies of Spring. Silhouetted forms reference the mind and individual identity, simultaneously concealing and revealing what lies beyond. The interplay of panels evokes the tension between isolation and connection, offering a meditation on the permeability between inner and outer experience. Each form becomes both barrier and bridge, embodying solitude and interdependence. Like the seasons, which unfold gradually rather than all at once, the work reflects our own development and adaptation, showing how we exist both alone and in relationship with our environment.

Statistics in Pink
2022
Acrylic on canvas and plexiglass, 72 x 48 in.
Statistics in Pink explores the tension between data and lived experience within hereditary cancer narratives. Inspired by my family’s encounter with the BRCA gene, the work reflects how probability and error intersect with human vulnerability. The layered plexiglass over canvas suggests the distance between scientific abstraction and personal truth. When test results proved inaccurate, the illusion of certainty collapsed. This reminds us that behind every statistic lies a complex, imperfect, and deeply human story.
The Weight of Our Cells
The Weight of Our Cells is an installation composed of multiple plexiglass circles in varying sizes, some measuring only two inches in diameter while others placed on pedestals reach seventeen inches wide and three inches deep. The differences in scale suggest the unpredictable nature of cellular growth, where some cells remain almost invisible and others expand with visible weight and complexity. The circle symbolizes infinite wholeness and the affirmation of life while also referencing the cellular foundation of creation, where a single cell multiplies and transforms. The work reflects the BRCA1 genetic mutation that runs through my family. Although the science is clear, it remains baffling how a single alteration can be passed down through generations, turning the very source of life into a potential threat. At its core, the work operates on a microscopic level, yet in its accumulation it expands into a powerful macro expression of inheritance and continuity.
