Beneath the Clouds
Beneath the Clouds is inspired by the realities of dealing with the genetic mutation in our extended family. After learning that my cousin and his family carry the BRCA2 gene while we have the BRCA1 mutation, the confusion swirling around information continues. Meanwhile, the threat continues to rear its ugly head in spite of the knowledge gained and with it comes the heavy burden. This installation reflects the bridge between what was and what will be with the balance of hope, along with science, that one day this mutation will fade away.
